New Routes & Test Routes
The CMRTA and the SC State Fair have partnered to provide a free shuttle from Downtown Columbia to the fairgrounds during the hours of 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM each week day during the 2007 SC State Fair....Just To See You Smile! Forget about driving in traffic and parking, leave the driving to the CMRTA Lunch Shuttle and enjoy more time for lunch at the Fair. Total roundtrip time: 30 minutes (15 minutes each way).
Bus route begins at the parking garage on Richland and Assembly Street with the pickup on Richland then it travel Richland to Sumter, then picks up at Sumter and Hampton, continues down Sumter then picks up at Sumter and Pendleton, turns right on Pendleton, left on South Main, picks up on South Main and Green, left on Assembly, right on Rosewood, stop at North Gate to load and unload. Return trip begins at North Gate, right on Bluff, left on Olympia, right on Whaley, left on Assembly, drop off at Assembly and Green, drop off at Assembly and Washington, right onto Richland and begin again.

NEWBERRY SMARTRIDE
The Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (CMRTA) has partnered with the SCDOT to begin commuter "SMARTRIDE " service from the city of Newberry with stops in Little Mountain and Chapin and then on to Columbia. With fuel prices soaring at such an incredible rate, this service is very timely and will help save on gas as well as provide for a more restful and relaxing commute devoid of the headaches and stress associated with driving yourself.
Commuters may purchase a weekly pass when boarding the "SMARTRIDE " bus for only $20.00. Single trip passes may also be purchased when boarding the bus for $3.00 per trip. Click here for more information about purchasing "SMARTRIDE" passes.
